How to setting Ambient Interior Lighting on Tesla Model Y

Sit in the driver's seat and ensure the car is in Park

To sit in the driver's seat of a Tesla Model Y, open the driver's door and take a seat in the driver's seat. To ensure that the car is in Park, press the brake pedal and then press the Park button located on the top right of the gear shifter on the center console.

Locate the controls for the center display screen

Sit in the driver's seat and ensure the car is in Park. Look at the large touchscreen display in the center of the dashboard. On the bottom of the screen, you will see a row of icons representing various functions and features of the car. The controls for the center display screen are located on the bottom-left of the screen. You should see an icon labeled "Controls" in the shape of a gear or wrench. Tap the "Controls" icon to access the settings menu.

Scroll down to find the "Lights" section and select "Ambient Lights"

The Model Y has several preset ambient lighting options to choose from, including blue, purple, orange, and green. You can also create your custom color by selecting the "Custom" option and then selecting the desired color on the color wheel.

From there, you can adjust the brightness and color of the ambient lighting by swiping left or right on the slider or selecting a preset color from the options shown

To adjust the ambient lighting settings through the center display screen, you can also use voice commands. Simply say "Set ambient lighting to [color]" or "Adjust ambient lighting brightness to [level]" to change the settings without needing to use the touchscreen.

Once you have selected your desired brightness and color, tap "Save" to confirm your settings

The ambient lighting can also be set to turn on automatically when you enter the car or when the headlights are turned off, providing a welcoming effect and helping you find your way in the dark.
